Gamma Frequency

Gamma Frequency

Gamma Frequency

Gamma Frequency is a nonprofit built by first-gen and underrepresented students who want to help others the way they once needed help themselves. The name comes from the “gamma frequency” of the brain, connected to better focus, memory, and learning, especially when life stresses get in the way. There are two projects make that mission real: Gamma Academics, which offers undergraduate students a change to do one-on-one tutoring in Physics, Algebra, and Chemistry at Clark High School, and Gamma Next Steps, a mentorship program that supports first-generation high school seniors with college apps, FAFSA, and scholarships. Want to tutor, mentor, or get involved? Join us at our general meetings!

Microbiology Enrichment

Microbiology Enrichment

Microbiology Enrichment helps students at Garcia Middle School explore the world of microbes in a way that feels fun and approachable. Undergraduate volunteers teach lessons on important topics like viruses, bacteria, fungi, hygiene, and sanitation, then guide students through a second classroom focused on hands-on activities. Demonstrations, real images, and interactive games help students connect what they learned to real-world concepts. ASM members gain experience in teaching, leadership, and communication while making a positive impact in the community.

Student Involvement

Student Involvement

Student involvement is at the core of everything we do. Through fundraisers, outreach events, campus activities, and community partnerships, ASM members have the opportunity to actively support the organization while connecting with one another. These experiences allow students to build friendships, develop leadership and communication skills, and contribute to meaningful initiatives that extend beyond the classroom. Whether tabling at events, helping run fundraisers, or supporting outreach programs, student involvement gives members a hands-on way to grow while strengthening the ASM community.
